Banner & Argos Accounts - Faculty and Staff

SungardHE Banner is the University's administrative software, used to manage student, finance, financial aid and alumni information.

Evisions Argos is a reporting tool used in conjunction with Banner to provide quick and easy access to data designed specifically for use at Rockhurst.

Oracleweb is Rockhurst's implementation of SungardHE's Self-Service Banner product, and is used mainly by faculty and students for personalized access to data stored in Banner. it can be accessed directly through https://oracleweb.rockhurst.edu or via the MyCampus Portal at https://my.rockhurst.edu.

Security

These systems contain and display highly sensitive information about faculty, staff and students. Please use extreme care and caution with your passwords, your workstation, and any saved data files in your possession. New Banner Accounts

Supervisors may request Banner accounts for new employees. A Banner/Argos Account Form must be completed by the supervisor and confirmed by the appropriate office (HR or Financial Aid). In addition, a Banner Class Access Form must be completed by the supervisor and signed by the various responsible offices. This form identifies the classes in Banner that an individual may access. It can be generated directly from Argos, in the PublishedInfo/BannerSecurity/Forms folder.

The forms are returned to the Database Administrator in Conway 414. Please allow five business days for account creation. Upon creation, the new employee or supervisor will be contacted for the final steps.

New Argos Accounts

Supervisors may request Banner accounts for new employees. A Banner/Argos Account Form must be completed by the supervisor and confirmed by the appropriate office (HR or Financial Aid). Specific permissions are handled on a case-by-case basis.

New Argos Budget Accounts

Some employees only need access to budget information within Argos. At Rockhurst, we have two types of Argos budget accounts. Accounts for individuals charged with the responsibility for managing a budget are referred to as financial manager accounts. Accounts for individuals who assist financial managers with their budgets but are not directly responsible for a budget are referred to as additional budget user accounts.

All Argos budget accounts requests must be made with the Banner/Argos Account Form. A Banner/Argos Account Form must be completed by the supervisor and confirmed by the appropriate office (HR or Financial Aid).

The forms are returned to the Database Administrator in Conway 414. Please allow five business days for account creation. Upon creation, the new employee or supervisor will be contacted for the final steps.

In addition, you will need to complete the Business Office form that identifies the budget items to be assigned.

New Faculty Oracleweb Accounts

New faculty Oracleweb accounts are handled by the Registrar's Office. Please call the Registrar's office at x4057 for more information.

Changes to Accounts

If a staff member leaves the institution or changes responsibility, please complete a Banner/Argos account Form and/or a Banner Class Access Form and return it to the Database Administrator in Conway 414 as soon as possible. If it is an emergency change, please call the Help Desk at x4357.

Password Changes

Banner – Your password is set at your initial set-up time arranged with the Database Administrator. Once you are able to log in, you may manage your own password within Banner, using the form GUAPSWD. If you have forgotten your password, please call the Database Administrator at x4679 to arrange a time to reset your password. Please plan on bringing your Rockhurst ID card with you.

Argos – Your password is set at your initial set-up time arranged with the Database Administrator. Once you are able to log in, you may manage your own password within Argos. Choose Tools/Change Password from the menu bar. If you have forgotten your password, please call the Database Administrator at x4679 to arrange a time to reset your password. Please plan on bringing your Rockhurst ID card with you.

Oracleweb – you may use the online password reset tool available at https://accounts.rockhurst.edu
