Classroom Response System / Clicker Adoption Information

In the Fall of 2009, with the guidance of the ITC (Information Technology Committee), Rockhurst standardized on using the E-instruction clicker system for all classes requiring the use of a response system.

The ITC felt this was the one system that met the needs of all academic areas as well as being financially reasonable.  In the past, students had to purchase multiple clickers for different classes and the IT department had to support multiple systems across campus.

Instructors who plan to use a response system in their class can download the form below and submit it and they will receive one free receiver and one free clicker. The instructor must also contact the bookstore to let them know what class it will be required in and how many students are in the class. Students purchase clickers from the Rockhurst bookstore and once they have purchased a clicker it can be used in any of their classes. You should also submit a service request to Computer Services if you need the clicker software installed on a teaching station or your laptop.

For additional questions or for information about upcoming training sessions, please contact Dr. Elizabeth Evans from the Biology department at elizabeth.evans@rockhurst.edu. Two training sessions will be held each semester.
