Document Types
A document is the basic unit of composition in LiveText. There are five document types, and any content that you wish to enter into LiveText must be entered into a document.
All document types contain a basic document structure, and can contain text, tables, images, attachments (computer files created outside of LiveText), standards, resources, rubrics, and form responses. The layout and style of the document may also be modified.
Course
This document may be used by faculty to create a syllabus. It may include multiple pages with course and assignment information, standards addressed within the course, assessment rubrics, and resources including web links and Discovery Education™ streaming videos.
Project
This document may be used by students, faculty, and administration to develop course assignments, collaborative documents and reports, or other personal and professional presentations. A project might include multiple pages with sections for text, images, attachments, standards addressed, assessment rubrics, and resources including web links and Discovery Education™ streaming videos.
Portfolio
This document may be used by students or faculty to compile, reflect, and present their professional experiences and qualifications. A portfolio will most likely include multiple pages with sections for text, images, attachments, links to other documents, and standards addressed.
Lesson Plan
This document may be used by students or faculty to develop and document the lesson planning process. It is most often developed as a single page document with sections for text, images, attachments, standards addressed, assessment rubrics, and resources including web links and Discovery Education™ streaming videos.
Assessment
This document may be used by students, faculty, and administration to develop assessment rubrics and guidelines. Assessment documents contain additional properties and characteristics for data collection and reporting.
