Users of our Microsoft Exchange Labs testing program, please follow these instructions provided by Microsoft.
Requirements: Any phone or PDA running Windows Mobile 5.0 or higher. You can verify your version by going to "Start" then "Settings" clicking on the "System" tab and then the About icon. Popular phones in this category include the AT&T Tilt, Palm Treo 700w/700wx/750/800w, Motorola Q/Q9 and Samsung Blackjack. There are many other devices that run this OS and so we cannot list all of them, most of which have no problems with our setup.
In addition, we recommend purchasing a data plan from your cellular provider before attempting to synchronize your device with our servers. Rockhurst is not responsible for any additional charges you may incur as a result of your use of this service. Users are encouraged to verify their contract with their provider if there is any doubt.
Because of the wide variety of phones which use this operating system, the screenshots below may not be identical to your setup/configuration. This is intended to be a general guide and users should refer to their device documentation or their provider/manufacture with any specific questions related to their configuration.
Make sure that your device has an active data connection, either through your cellular provider or through WiFi.
From your home screen, click on the Start button, and then open the Programs folder.
From the Programs window, select ActiveSync.
Select Menu then Add Server Source
Enter your Rockhurst email address into the email address field, then select Next.
Wait while the Rockhurst server is contacted.
If prompted for a server address enter email.rockhurst.edu. Be sure to keep the SSL requirement checked. Press Next.
Select the data you want to synchronize with your phone, by default all options will be selected. Additional options for Email and Calendar can be found by selecting that option and pressing Settings. Press Finish when you are done.

Your phone will now continuously push your email, contact and calendar changes to you as long as your data connection is active and our servers are online.
