Your Rockhurst Network Account

Your network account is one of the most important tools you have in your education at Rockhurst. In addition to granting access to the computers, WebCT and other network resources, it controls your Rockhurst online identity by granting you access to your e-mail.

When you receive your account, the password you are assigned will be a temporary password and will need to be changed before you are able to access computers on campus or your email. This must be done from a computer in one of the Rockhurst computer labs.

Please see our Password Requirements for more information on creating complex passwords for your account.

Students

Your account is approved upon enrollment at Rockhurst University by the registrars office. Once you are enrolled, you need only obtain your student ID and bring it to the Helpdesk for your account to be created. As long as you have your Rockhurst ID with you, we can instantly create your account and show you how to access our network resources.

If you do not have a Rockhurst ID card, you may have one created for you in the Admissions office in Massman Hall.  You may also have one created at the Help Desk, providing you have available your student ID number (also called a Banner number), plus one form of picture ID, such as a driver's license or passport.  A student who does not know his/her ID number may obtain that information from the Registrar's office.  Please note that the Help Desk will not supply a student with his/her ID number.

Faculty and Staff

Your account must be approved by your department or office upon employment with Rockhurst University. For your account to be created, HR will first need to submit a request to the Helpdesk. Account creation for employees is not instantaneous, so departments should allow 5 business days for employee network account creation.

When you come to the Helpdesk please have your Rockhurst ID number (usually given to you by HR) with you to obtain your account information.
