Android Email Setup

To set up your Rockhurst Email on your Android, please follow these steps:

(If you are adding an additional account to Gmail, go to your menu in the top right hand corner (Microsoft Exchange Icon, or the initials of your email account enclosed in a circle), and select “Add another account”. Continue set up by following steps 3-6.)

  1. Install the Gmail application on your device.

  2. Once the app has been installed, you will be presented with the option to “Skip” the introductory information.

  3. Select “Add an email address”. On the following page, choose “Exchange and Office 365” to set up your Rockhurst Email account on your phone.

  4. Enter your full Rockhurst University email address, and password.

  5. The process of syncing everything may take some time, but after a long wait you will be presented with a page stating that “Gmail needs permission”. Tap “Continue” to proceed.

  6. The next page lists the various things Gmail will require access to your phone. Scroll to the bottom, and select “Activate this device admin app” to continue.

Your Rockhurst email account should be ready to go! Tap “Finish” to complete set up, and tap “Take me to Gmail” to access your email.
